Another 80's Icon is dead...

Evel Knievel is dead at the age of 69.

In all honesty, I'm surprised he lived to see 69...given most (if not all) of his stunts. He will be missed.

Well, as they say, there's a first time for everything. And this is my first time for breaking my wrist and getting a cast. And does this ever fucking suck! Thankfully it's my right hand and not my left (as I'm left-handed), but it's still rather freaking annoying as it takes extra effort to do every-day stuff...such as getting dressed and showering. Ugh, three weeks of this damn cast, then another 1-3 weeks of wearing a splint/brace...about the only "good" part is I got to pick the color...dark blue. ^_^ But now I have to miss 4-6 weeks of work at UPS, despite the fact that I get disability, in all honesty...I'd rather work.

Ah well. I best be going and trying to figure out how I'm going to shower tonight.

This year I've been busy!

Wow, it's been a while since I've updated....

Nothing like starting the week at UPS with a 3hr 10 min shift and ending it with a 3hr 15 min shift, ugh. This whole week has been pure hell at UPS, and to think the fun is just beginning since Peak 'starts' on Nov 1st (Wednesday). Ah well, at least it's only a couple months...and when we stay busy as hell like this it goes rather quickly.

Will be doing driver helper again this season. The work really takes a lot out of you, but for $11.75/hr (plus overtime if I get more than 40 hrs between that and my regular job in the hub) I'll do it for a month. Just hope I get to ride with Kevin again. He's cool...knows the neighborhood better than I do, plus I get picked up and dropped off right at my front door. No driving to meet him somewhere!

Ah well, it's about 3am and I have a long weekend ahead of me so think I'm going to play MapleStory for a bit before heading off to bed. Nothing like zapping a few monsters to calm you down before bed, lol.
